Nobody pays me to tell you where to go.
I left Britain eleven years ago. Thailand for five years, a year back in England, five and a half in Cyprus, now Dubai. I have done the moving paperwork four times and got bits of it wrong every time.
I will not tell you where to go, which firm to use, or what to buy. I have been wrong enough times to know that nobody can make that call for you.
The question nobody answers first
Most people start with where. They type "best places to move abroad" at eleven at night and get beaches and somebody's top ten.
The question that actually decides it is not where would we go. It is whether they will have you.
Australia, America and Canada between them hold about half of all British people living abroad. All three are effectively closed to somebody in their fifties moving on their own money. Nobody finds that out until late.

Everything I publish is checked against the government that would be deciding your application. Their immigration department, their interior ministry, their own legal gazette. Not a relocation company, not a law firm's blog, not a forum.
When I cannot verify something, I say so and I name what I could not reach.
That sounds like a small thing. In this subject it is the whole thing, because most of what is written about moving abroad is not wrong so much as out of date, repeated by people who learned it when it was true.
